Still have to play Origins but I’m glad they went back in time. The moment they skipped enough time forward that guns came into play, for me, the series lost a bit of its charm. Kinda hope they go back to it again, and in those sort of regions too.
updating the drivers to the Valhalla game ready driver fixes it but almost 6 weeks after release.
Plus, personally, the time period was awesome. Last week, Assassins Creed Valhalla update 1. Took a long time to get back that feeling of being able to do things somewhat differently in the series.
I remember being able to skip fights by being clever with the environment, finding ways to kill the main targets in stealth or aggressive ways that weren’t obvious (for me) on a 1st run. Below is a list of seven changes we think the development team at Montreal. The missions and even the main assassination missions had “some” freedom to them (you could have different approaches to them and still clear them) which starting with AC2 got removed (or rather the games started to get pissy if you didn’t do things how they wanted you to). So when the inevitable Assassin’s Creed 4 does come out- we all know it will- Ubisoft will need a make a few changes. It was a repetitive game, but I loved it. I also loved that the present gameplay had more to it than met the eye, I only found out all the secrets (like, literally that there were secrets and stuff to do in the present) on a 2nd run.
I absolutely loved it at the time, especially Altairs arc/story. The next entry in the franchise, Assassin's Creed Valhalla continues the story of a secret war that's played out through the centuries.
